Swim Lessons
What We Learn Under 3 years of age Shrimp - parents & children under 3 yrs. Introduction, fun, free floating for six months to three years with parents in water. Instruction & fun emphasis on water safety, games, and song. 3 Year olds K-Kipper– 2 children, 15 minutes Level 1: Introduction, water adjustment, breath control. Level 2: Free float, back float, bobs, swim w/float, kick & arm movement. Level 3: Roll face to back, deep water bobs, rhythmic breathing. 4 - 5 year olds Pike– 5 children, 30 minutes Introduction, water adjustment, breath control. Swim 8 feet. Eel -5 children, 30 minutes Comfortable in water, free float, deep water bobs. Swim width of pool. Ray -5 children, 30 minutes Jump in, return to edge without help, and rotary breathing. Starfish -5 children, 30 minutes Crawl, endurance, and back stroke. 6 years and older/Adult Pre-Polliwog 6 students, 30 minutes Introduction, water adjustment, breath control, free float. Swim width of pool. Polliwog -6 students, 30 minutes, Crawl, endurance, and deep water comfort. Guppy -7 students, 30 minutes, Endurance, and stroke improvement. Minnow -8 students, 30 minutes, Endurance, back crawl, and stroke improvement. Fish -8 students, 30 minute, Endurance, stroke improvement, breaststroke, and butterfly kick. Flying Fish +-8 students, 30 minutes Endurance, complete strokes, breast stroke, and butterfly kick. Shark -8 students, 30 minutes Endurance, water safety, rescue skills, and stroke improvement. Adults-30 minutes All levels. Beginner to swimmer.

Recreational Swim Information

Public Swim Fees are for Non Members and are available only during Community Swim Times Listed Below. This does not include Hot tub, Steam Room and Sauna. These are available at a Day Pass Rate. All Facility use is Free to members.

YMCA Public Swim Fees are:
$2.00 for youth under 18 years of age
$3.00 for adults
$5.00 for a family/2 adults and up to 4 children.

Community Swim Open Swim Hours

Mon, Wed, Fri 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Mon-Fri 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm (South Pool)
Sat & Sun 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Community Swim Lap Swim Hours

Mon-Friday *7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
*Pool shared with community swim
Mon-Thurs 9:00 pm to 9:45 pm
Sat & Sun 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm

Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by a parent while in the pool. Children 8 years and over are required to be able to swim to be in the pool without a parent.
